Candy collection

Candy exploits the potential of steel reinforcement bars for concrete structures. Thanks to a simple industrial coating process normally used in the marine and machine industry, the unattractive steel bars are given a new and seducing identity. A high gloss polyester coating, applied to the textured bars gives off a multitude of highly bright reflections. The collection consists of 4 elements, a chair, a side-table, a low table and a small shelf.

This project was presented during the Milan Design week 2009. Since then, the ongoing project was taken to further stages and explored in new versions, coloured bars with wooden tops and seats as well as fully chromed steel pieces. The candy collection is now undergoing developments for production with a producer.
