Vitra Summer Workshop / Boisbuchet

In July 2010, I carried out a workshop using mud as the primary material source in order to produce a small batch product. The aim of the workshop was to use mud as a substitute to industrial materials (such as plastic, glass, …). and to try and find how this material can be used, put into form, moulded, extruded, cast, ... The theme was quite challenging since it takes place in the countryside context of Boisbuchet (FR). However, we managed to produce some quite extra ordinary results and samples with this incongruous material.
